About TED

TED is a conference started in 1984  which challenges top thinkers, doers and viisionaries to come together and share ideas.  It is held in Long Beach in the spring and in Edinburgh Scotland in the summer and attended by a limited number of invitees, but the ideas and videos are available for sharing. 

"Ideas Worth Sharing"  are presented by eminent people in sciences, arts and technology in 18 minutes or less.

Wow!  Focus on global issues, astronomy, neuroscience,  pollution: there are amazing videos on their website on any number of fascinating topics.
